"Assigning?" or trying to create a activity that


promotes a healthy student/parent/school interaction.

If you are too busy to assist with your own child's learning on a single type project, don't know what to tell you. Assisting my kids with science fair projects provided great memories. Gladly sacrificed a night or two of "getting ahead at work" for those memories, even if it meant driving my beater car a couple more years.

Now am I excusing what some teachers do to just punch the clock? No. Same as any other profession - just doesn't affect one's kids as directly.
